You know what I love? The beach at night. The air is no longer thick with humidity, but refreshingly warm and breezy; with the smell of the salty air consuming you, brushing over your skin. It’s quiet, except for the crashing of the waves and the swirling of the water as it recedes from the shoreline. The sand feels cold and damp as your feet sink into it with every step. You feel free, like you can do anything. Like you can get up and run away with no worries. But you also feel so small. With the array of stars overhead and the vast ocean before you, you feel like you’re only a grain of sand in the world. It’s comforting, though; you feel so safe here, like this is home. The beach is home.

I want a relationship where we can get drunk at midnight, just the two of us, and sit up talking and making out all night, and go to the beach at four in the morning. I really want hugs. I want to waste a weekend in bed cuddled up under blankets talking and listening to music and watching our tv shows just the two of us. I want to read a book and not feel anxious that I have other things I need to be doing.
I want to go sit at a park with my favourite people and be in the sunshine or sit on a beach and listen to the waves kiss the shore.
I want to kiss you every chance I get and stare at your wonderful face. I wanna chuckle at your dorky comments and smile a whole lot hold your hand and just live in happiness.
